Hi Deb, I can't believe that we've had Prince (we've since re-named him Jack the Bear after the original name you had given him because he looks like a little black bear cub) for over a month and a half now.  It feels like he has been here forever.  From the moment we walked in the door with him from the airport he has made himself right at home.  I was a little worried thinking it might take him a little time to get used to Oliver and the kids.  But after being here for fifteen minutes he and Oliver made their acquaintances and then took off on a tear through my kitchen chasing my daughter around the island.

I am so glad that I got him, he is just as sweet and precious as you said he was.  Everyone who see him says that he is the cutest thing they have ever seen.  He and Oliver adore each other and never stop playing.  They are such good company for each other and all my fears about not being able to find another chi with a great personality like Oliver's have been laid to rest.  He adores my kids as much as Oliver does, but he's just a little bit more shy about it.  We love both of them so much and can't thank you enough for two amazing puppies.
I have attached a picture of Jack with Devon as well as a video of Jack and Oliver playing.  If you listen closely you can hear these Tasmanian Devil noises that Jack makes while playing.  So funny....I've never heard these noises coming from a dog.

Take care,

Robin

Welcome! You are visiting Munchkinland Chihuahuas. I am the original online Munchkinland Chihuahuas and am not affliated with any other breeders who may be using "Munchkinland" in their website title COPYCAT SITES

I am a breeder of exceptionally small Chihuahuas of high quality. My dogs are from champion bloodlines and look it. I am located in California, but now fly our puppies throughout the United Stated and Canada using Continental's "Pet Safe" program.
I am a Home based breeder and do not have puppies located outside in a kennel, but right here in my home. I have a few relatives who house and care for my adults and older puppies I plan to keep back . A couple customers who have become friends also help me by being foster parents to some of my dogs. You are welcome to my Veterinarian's information. He has been to my home to treat my animals. He can verify that I spend several thousands of dollars each year taking my Chihuahuas in for regular teeth cleaning and health checks. This kind of care is not something puppymillers do. CHECK THIS OUT- There is a night and day difference between millers and between dog breeders who have beautiful well cared for dogs. Dogs run outside in back yards on green lawns, on wood decks, and in our  flower beds :)  in nice weather.

I have some of the smallest Chihuahuas you will find, but  it is too difficult to tell if a puppy will be 2 lbs grown or 3 lbs grown, soooo please do not email me and ask me to provide you with a puppy that will be no more then 2 lbs at maturity. Most of my pups will be in the  2  - 3 lbs area  as adults, but I do not want the stress & worry the pup may weigh more then you want. If you want the prettiest & highest quality, I have it. If you want the smallest, I have it. Our prices are unbeatable for the size and quality we offer.I have a very low error on adult size prediction. I'v put together fun and informative pages I hope  you enjoy:

I spent years researching canine genetics, pathology, parasitology and microbiology BEFORE I took on the responsibility of breeding dogs. Breeders are not required by law to have any academic degrees, nor to complete any programs before producing puppies for sale to the public. Now, after years of breeding, I can say I am a very experienced breeder, not just a walking encyclopedia from all my research :) All breeders start out the same way in the beginning, they pair up their first two Chihuahuas, to produce a litter. I started out with the best, by purchasing a few unrelated Champion males as well as several unrelated champion bloodline females. This provided me with a firm foundation to build on.

I promise to be there for you every step of the way, from helping you to select a puppy, to providing you with updated photos of the baby as he develops. I will keep you posted on your puppies progression and developing personality

You will be pleased with my dedication to your needs. Adopting a puppy should be  a pleasant & enjoyable experience in your life. We aim to make it just that!  We have a ten year warranty to back the health of our puppies.

MOVIES MOVIES MOVIES- We make movies for you so you can see puppies in action! How important is this?  VERY!
PETSHOPS and BROKERS are ONLINE masquerading as dog breeders. Breeders crazy over their dogs will max credit cards out taking care of them. Breeders who care enough to put all their time, energy and money into their dogs would never sell to Petshops. What kind of breeder would? You can help cut down the number of dogs in puppymills by refusing to buy from Brokers and Petshops. If Puppies stay in Petshops and are not bought, then Petshops won't place orders for new puppies. PuppyMills will then cut back. Considered "livestock" by heartless humans who dare call themselves breeders, "Millers" love selling to Petshops so they do not have to deal with the public. They do not want to sell to the consumer, since the consumer has demands for proper size, good health and quality looks. Do you really think "Millers"  would take a chance breeding smaller females when C-sections cost so much? They do not even clean their dogs teeth! Mass producers want large females who provide large litters, as they sell their puppies to Petshops& Brpkers for 200.00 to 300.00.  Consumers who buy from Petshops  are often ripped off, but feel ashamed, and do not pursue legal action against the Petshop owners. It is easy to spot a Petshop in the OFF LINE world, but how to you spot these Petshop/Brokers ONLINE?

When NBC news interviewed the celebrities who bought from ONLINE Brokers,it became clear the celebrities had been tricked and thought they were buying from BREEDERS. NBC NEWS- PUPPY HEARTBREAK

Good morning Deb,
How are you?  After reading on your website the other day about how pets bring you joy and reduce stress, I had to write and give you an update on Oliver.  It is so true.  Every night after I put the kids in bed, I sit down with him I think of you and how much I want you to know that what a perfect baby he is for my family and how much we love him.  He makes me smile and laugh every day.  I feel so lucky that I found you and your pups.  He is such a wonderful mix of playful, curious, funny and affectionate.  There is no shyness or fear in him, but only curiosity and he loves everyone, especially my kids.  No one gets a more enthusiastic greeting than they do.  As soon as I bring them in the room they get kisses all over and his little body never stops wiggling.  He very often falls asleep on the couch on my two year old's lap. ..

Take Care  Robin

Hi,
Swan is doing fine. She had her cast taken off yesterday and her leg is a little bruised. She is a little depressed but I think it is just all the medicine. I tried to sign your guest book a while ago, but it was gone. I will try later.

Dr. Smith said he is so impressed with Swan. He said she just keeps getting cuter every time she comes in. He said she is really something special. This is because of all the love you put into your Chis. Your dogs are the very best there is. Nobody can compare.
We love you Debra!
Much love from Swan and Lisa.

Hey Deb:
Just realized that I haven’t really given you an update on our newest baby, Coco.  As you said, she is a playful little clown with the most adorable little dollface.  Although she seems soooooooo tiny, she is up to 2 lbs now.  She is a very good eater.  Has had a few vet visits and checks out 100% healthy.  She is doing great with her housebreaking and does most of her business in the yard, with very few accidents.  She loves everyone and gets along great with the other dogs.  Although she is full of energy, she loves to cuddle too.  We are going down to Miami tomorrow for the weekend so I will get to see Bandit (formerly Mookie) for the first time.  The sisters, Pixie and Lexie, will get to see each other too.  It will be a regular Chi-fest at my mom’s house!!!  Will get some pictures together to send you so

Debra-- It's been awhile since I wrote to you. Beluga is doing just great!! My older baby, Gizmo passed away last month . It was difficult for me to have to go through that . On a happier note-- having Beluga is making it easier for me. He's such a good boy. I still take him everywhere with me and he loves getting into his little carrier. I have other friends that have Chihuahuas and they told me Beluga is very well behaved. I tell everybody about your web site. That's all for now- keep up the good work. Melissa and Beluga ;-)

Hi!  So happy to hear from you.  Sorry to hear you have been ill  : (  I decided to wait until the winter beause Lola's due date would have fallen during the week we are going to be at Pinecrest!  I have been wanting to tell you about Ruby!!!   She is the most precious baby on earth!  She goes everywhere with us and is very attached to me, although she loves everybody.  She loves going out on our boat (we go to McClure almost every weekend), wears her little life jacket, she goes camping which we do alot, she goes with us in the canoe at Pinecrest,  she stays in hotels with me when I travel and loves to be carried in her little bag when we go shopping - so many places we go are dog friendly leaving water bowls outside the shops etc. and at outdoor cafes they often bring Ruby a little bowl of water. My daughters and all their friends just dote over her .  She gets a lot of public interaction as well since she is with me often in her bag as I am walking through crowds, etc.  She just went with us to Los Gatos to see my daughter run in a Marathon.  I met some great people there that told me there is a gathering called the "Chihuahua meet". They get together in a park in Milipitas once a month which would be really fun to do!  Ruby is such a great little traveler.  I just bring a pee pad when we stay in a hotel and she always uses it, makes things  so easy.  Our other female Lola is her very best friend, they play all the time!  As you can tell I just can't say enough about how much I,  and all of us,  Iove this little dog.  She is everything I wanted and more.  I have the most respect for you Debra for breeding such a wonderful, good natured, smart and lovable little dog.  She is SOoooo affectionate. I bet you have brought this kind of joy to a lot of people with your wonderful little chihuahuas.  I have some great pics of Ruby at the lake, etc which I will email. So much fun. I hope you are feeling better and things are calming down a bit. As you know, just sit down with one (or two!)of your little sweet chihuahuas in your lap - they always bring joy.  Thanks for thinking of us,  Patty

hey deb,
all is well here. emme has totally adjusted to life with us.  she is a piece of work!!!  i take her to work everyday, she still isn't thrilled about being there,(it's very noisy), but i'm sure she will adjust to that as well.  actually i take her everywhere i think i can get away with. she likes going to the food store lol.  i generally keep her in a crate at night to sleep, once in awhile though, like last night, she sleeps in the bed.  she likes her head on the pillow, it's very funny.  she does well with eating most of the time, but i have fed her by hand when she doesn't.  she has me well trained lol!!!  i will talk to you soon and will look for her papers in the mail.

It was great talking to you last night.  What a nice person you are.

Frosty made it just fine, and was anxious to get out of the carrier at my end.  I brought my folks along with me and mom held him all the way home.  He was so good.  It was about 20 minutes after his flight landed that they brought him up to me, and they said all the guys unloading the plane were talking to him, and he was very responsive to them, and to me.  He was so interested in the traffic lights coming home he was content just looking out the window.
What a loving little guy and he is just beautiful.  Just what I wanted.  When I got home, I put him in the puppy pen while the others were all out so he could get used it everyone who was so nosey they had to check him out.  He wanted out, so I let  him out for awhile for him to look around and get used to the smell of things.  At bedtime, I put the puppies in their bed, but stayed up for a few hours to make sure they wouldn't hurt him.  He took to the other two just fine, as they did him.  He's climbing on them this morning, playing with them, investigating his new surroundings. I think he is going to be just fine.  He is just a sweetie.

I want to let you know that Alaska airlines was very good. They had fresh water and made sure his food dish was full.  He was kept warm, and watched the entire trip.  They took good care of him.
I will be sending you updated pictures once in awhile so you know he is happy and cared for.  Hope you don't mind if I keep in touch also.  You seem to be very knowledgable about these puppies and I will trust what you tell me.
Thanks so much for my new addition.  He is just beautiful, personality plus.

Have a wonderful week
Jeannie

Debra,
Sorry for the tardy reply.  I've been spending extra time with the wee one. . .
Daniel, now named "Trinket," is integrating well into the pack!!  He and Tiny Tim enjoy playing chase throughout the house, and Tequila makes room for him to nest in the heated throw. . .
Trinket, that little boy is a fast learner--he figured out the fleece-covered pet stairs without introduction--just ran right up to the sofa and down again to the rug--no fear in him (it took the others more than a day and multiple tries to get the idea--you can teach old dogs new tricks, but it seems that it's easier to teach new dogs old tricks)!!
Trinket's definitely a keeper.  Thanks for a perfect pup!!
Warmest regards,
Joan

Hi,
I actually ordered it a few days ago.  Just waiting for it to arrive.  Wookie is so funny, he definately has character.  He stands on top of my printer/copier (just a few inches off the floor) and looks at his reflection and licks it forever.  He also does it to his reflection in the dishwasher, and the kitchen door.
His vet appt. went great.  He is in great health.  He's very active too.  Loves to play all of the time.  When I'm washing dishes, he sits on my slippers.  It's so cute.
He has so many chew toys, of course, he wants to chew constantly like all puppies do.  He is slowly warming up to the fact that Sydney can command him too.  He knows she's little and tries to disobey her.  He'll learn.  It helps that she gives him a treat (1 piece of dog food) when he goes potty in his box or on another pad.
He's getting better with his peeing and pooping.  I can't wait until he's fully trained.  Those pads get expensive.  He's so much fun, we love him very much.  You've done a great job with him.

Pictures will be coming soon.  Thanks for everything.

Hi, Debra!
Hazel is doing great! It is sort of cold here so she would rather go potty indoors, but I take her out often and she has started going in and out the doggie door onto the penned in back porch - she doesn't go out to go potty, just to check on the squirrels.
She got her next vaccine. The vet was quite impressed with her and she commented on your wonderful vet records/vaccines that you sent along with her.
Everyone comments on how well behaved and calm she is! They are more used to hyperactive Chihuahuas, I guess, and she is not that way at all. We just love her! She does not whine or bark mindlessly, either. She is a little lover and enjoys giving kisses and being taken on outings! She even got to go perfume shopping with me at Nordstrom and all the ladies were very kind to her. I had thought they may ask me to take her out of the store, but they did not.
Well, we are off to take Austin to school. Hazel fell asleep with her stuffed dog in this shot. I woke her up with  the camera - what a ham!
I'll keep you posted. I love looking at your nursery photos... Thanks so much! -- Warmly, Shannon

Oliver just had his vet exam this morning, and everything went great!  He is a healthy, happy and beautiful puppy.  He now weighs 2.4 pounds.  The vet couldn't believe how adjusted and social he was considering that we just got him yesterday and he had to fly across the country to get here.  He is such a good, sweet boy.  Everyone has fallen in love with him and he is loving to all.  He even curled up on my two year old's lap yesterday when we brought him home and he laid there and licked her.  Actually, his favorite mode of transportation is to be glued to your chest.  He literally will attach himself to you and does not want to be put down.   As I am writing this now he is curled up on my lap wrapped up in my scarf.

His first night went well...he has been using his wee wee pads like a trooper as it is too cold right now in the northeast to take him out at night.  I put him in his crate next to my bed last night so that he could see me.  He only cried for a few minutes and then when I put my hand over to him through the bars so that he could feel me there, he licked me and then went to the back and laid down on his heating pad and went to sleep until around 4 a.m.  I put him in his box and he went pee, and then played with him in bed for a few minutes.  Of course by that time he would have none of going back into the crate and he crawled up under my chin and we both fell asleep until 6:30.  I would love nothing better than to sleep with him in bed all night, but I'm not sure if I should yet because of his size and because of potty training.  What do you think Deb?

I can't thank you enough for this precious and priceless new addition to my family.  If all goes well over the winter with his potty training I have the go ahead from my husband to get another one in the spring.  We decided that it would be really stressful for me to try and potty train two at a time right now along with my two kids.  But I already have my eye on some of the newbies in the nursery, and I think I would like a female this time.  I guess I'm like Noah...I need one of each.  Ha Ha!

I have attached two pics of him...one in his heated bed and one on my Mom from yesterday when we got home.  Thanks again for everything.

Deb,
I’m not sure if you remember me.  I purchased Kiwi (formerly little red riding hood) from you over a year ago.  I just wanted to send you an update on my baby.  Kiwi is doing great!  She loves her big brothers and believe me she rules our house!  She is about 5 pounds and such a little live wire!  Attached are some pictures of her from Christmas.  She got a new purse and was very excited to carry it around with her!  Everyone who sees her tells me how cute she is and asks me where to get one just like her.  And, Rhonda and Jenny LOVE all the puppies that they bought after seeing Kiwi.  Anyways, happy new year and keep those pretty puppies coming!

Dear Debra,

A while ago you had a picture posted of a tiny white female that was the
runt of one litter you had.  You had not yet priced her, but then she
disappeared from your website!  What happened to her?

I am the owner of Wee Willie (Capote now.)  He is a real show stopper!    He
is around 3.5 lbs at 14 monthes.  Everyone comments on him.  He has a
wonderful personality, and loves people and children.  He goes everywhere
with me.
I am thinking of breeding him.

lick here to add text. The puppies are doing great! They are healthy and very happy. We absolutely adore them and we are SO HAPPY that we got two of them. They are so much company and companionship for one another.

Rocco is much bigger than Bella. I have not taken them to the vets lately so I do not know their weight. However, Rocco could be close to 4 pounds. Bella remains a tiny, petite thing. She rules the roost though and is all guard dog if and when anyone comes to the door or in the house. They love to go for car rides. We try to take them every Sunday. My father is in love with both of them. He carries them around quite a bit of the day. They know the time that I come home from work in the evening and are always waiting by the door for me to arrive. They must run a mile a day chasing one another around the kitchen or down the hall to one of the bedrooms. I think Rocco is part parrot. He loves to climb on my shoulders and lay there. The two of them are so agile. I can’t believe how much they love to jump up and down on things. I am always worried about their little legs but it is impossible to get them to stop. Rocco’s coat is absolutely gorgeous. I am not sure about Bella’s coat, it seems she may be turning colors from cream to tan. She has the same markings on her head that Rocco has.

I could go on and on however, I am going to stop. I wish you and your family happy holidays. I don’t know if you celebrate Christmas or not. The puppies ought to enjoy tomorrow with all the wrappings and bows. Let me know how things are going for you. I still think you have the best looking Chis. I have ever seen. Thank you for the wonderful job you did with them the few months that you had them. I hope to hear from you soon.

Take care,
Denise defranco2@cox.net

Hi Deb,

Just an update on our baby.  Sleeping, eating and potty training going well.  Just heard from the Vet, her fecal sample was negative. I will try to get you some photos this weekend.  I'll be in touch.

dear Debrah,
HI!! greetings from nyc!!   i got shiloh, now known as Savannah, from you in June of last year, and i just wanted to let you know how she is doing!!  Savvy is the light of life, keeping me company everywhere i go!! She has been shopping, to the movies, on trains, and in many taxis...  She is truly a city girl now!! Everywhere we go, people are amazed at her small size: at almost a year she still fits the 6 inch sweaters!!!  She is by far the smallest in every dog park, or for that matter everywhere, but her small stature says nothing about her personality!!  Savannah is beyond brave and quite spunky when walking down the street or approaching big dogs, she stands her ground!!!  Above all, she is the sweetest pup ever, breaking those horrible stereotypes of the "mean and barky chihuahua"... She is lovable, friendly, and a big flirt, cozying up to everyone, including my 15 lb cat, who ADORES her..  ive attatched some pictures we took recently!!!!  thanks for everything Debrah, Savannah and all your chis are so well bred and beautiful, and it shows!!!!!--
Thank you SO much!!! Sakira and Savannah!!

Hi Deb,

I thought you might be interested to see an updated pic of our wonderful little guy, Sammie.  He is an absolute joy.  We have never seen a dog with a better temperament.  He is a calm, sweet boy who is just an absolute love.  He and Daisy still have their little fights but I think they enjoy it.  I wish you could see him in person as he is so handsome and such a great little guy.  I have had dogs all my life and he is one of my 2 very favorites ever.  I can't say enough about his obvious wonderful breeding.  There is no question that we will come back to you should we get another chi.  Thanks again for choosing such a special boy for us!

I am also sending another pic in a separate email.  Hope all is well with you ....................Kim Peterson

Hi Debra,
I haven't updated you in a very long time regarding Angel & Teddy Bear formerly known as Bird and Lord. Here are pictures of Angel & Teddy at Christmas time and again in January. As you can see they literally walk all over me! I love it though!! They are the best babies in the world!! Angel is now almost 2.5 years old (born 11/15/05) and Teddy will be two on June 1st. Aren't they adorable?? I also included a pic I had previously sent to you for your reference so you know they're the same babies. You've actually had the third pic up on your site in the past (the one called Teddy & Angel).
Anyhow, I hope all is going well with you and all of the babies you bring into this world and take care of on a daily basis. I hope you continue to find loving homes for the precious little ones. :-)

Hi Debi,
I don't know if you remember us but my name is Tara and I adopted Gizmo formally known as Woody from you 2 years ago this Feb.  I just wanted to drop you a note and say that he is still doing wonderfully.  He is such a part of my life that I can't imagine not having him.  He is very healthy and well muscled out and can keep up with the big dogs (of course he thinks he is one).  I have had so many people compliment me on him, his conformation, coloring, and markings.  I have also had many people ask if I want to breed him, so they really see his worth.  I of course do not breed, he is in fact fixed but it is a great compliment.  A great compliment to you.  I am just still so amazed how I was so fortunate to find your site and get one your puppies, I would/have recommended you many times.  Thank you again Debi for my precious little man Gizmo.  I will continue to watch your site and enjoy looking at all of your adorable pups.

Tara and Gizmo
