BREEDER COMPETENCY
Laws do not require dog breeders to study canine pathology, parasitology, microbiology and canine genetics to become certified as competent to produce healthy puppies. Yet a Veterinarian cannot legally give a puppy a vaccine injection without spending many thousands of dollars and 8 years in study at an accredited school. I would think that producing the lives of genetically sound pets is as important as the treatment given to genetically weak dogs throughout their life time.

We strive to produce unique Chihuahuas of exceptional beauty, small size, correct conformation and sound temperament. We specialize in small applehead Chihuahuas who retain that puppy look into adulthood. We have the short muzzle, the full wide spaced eyes, the perfect applehead found only in the show quality type Chihuahuas bred by Reputable Breeders. The majority of our Chihuahua puppies mature in the 2 to 4 lb range as adults. The body length of our adult breeding Chihuahuas, measuring from the shoulder blades to the rump runs 6 to 8 1/2 inches. Weight alone does not make a small Chihuahua, but rather the whole package with measurement in height and length also count. If you want a 3 lb Chihuahua would you be satisfied with a 13 inch long thin greyhound build? A three pound 13 inch long Chihuahua is large and thin.
We provide optimum nutrition including goatsmilk and Nuvet. All our Chihuahuas receive "Blue" and the human grade food "Keen" from The Honest Kitchen, as well "Wellness". Our Chihuahua puppies are well nourished from the time of conception. Excellent nutrition is vital to developing Chihuahua embryos and delicate organs. Essential nutrients in a quality diet prevents future degenerative disease and medical bills as Chihuahuas grow older. We believe in preventive care.
We have heavy Champion bloodlines, but the shows, ribbons and titles are not the number one priority. Anyone with plenty of money and persistence can bring a quality Chihuahua to Champion title. Single participants are permitted in most events (no competition) with sure win of the only dog in the ring. Like the majority of breeders, we have seen Champions we would not consider adding to our own breeding program. A GRAND Champion is uncommon and something to be extremely proud of! Champions competing against Champions with the winner a GRAND Champion. It is unlikely you will find Breeders with Grand Champions. Our Grand Champion lines are through "Bisa Grand Champion Toodulips Donovan".
Consider our waiting list if you would like first choice on our up coming litters. A $500 deposit is required to place you on our waiting list. We allow "evaluation of puppies under 6 weeks, so if you deposit on a 2 week old baby you may watch the puppy until 5 weeks old and then decide to keep or not. If not then you do not lose your deposit but the deposit goes back to the waiting list until you are ready to either evaluate a newborn again or choose a puppy of any age for keeps.
Chihuahua puppies make very loving companions and "lap dogs" who can lift the spirit of those who can use some puppy kisses and a laugh or two. There is a reason for the saying "A Mans best Friend". I cannot imagine life without the daily smiles and joy our Chihuahuas bring to us. Dogs love unconditionally and they deserve to have that kind of love returned so we wish to place our puppies with those who do not measure love in ounces and who do not have the ability to bond if the puppy doesn't stay under 3 lbs as an adult. Read one consumers journey to find the "guaranteed" 2 lb grow teacup after leaving me fall of 2007 when I refused to guarantee that my teeny little Sherbert wouldn't go over 3 lbs grown.

Teacup Chihuahuas! Teacup Chihuahuas Here? There? Everywhere?
It is difficult for even the most experienced Chihuahua breeder to keep 1 and 2 oz newborn puppies alive, so the "teacup" Chihuahuas are not common. They require lots of extra care from tube feeding every 3 hours day and night, to extensive balance of heat and hydration, and if they survive long enough, all night intensive care sessions every time they are wormed or vaccinated. Ask your Vet what he would charge to keep and raise one for 3-4 months, and you'll quickly find out why they are $1500 and up. Extra tiny Chihuahuas are rare, because many breeders lose theirs to low blood sugar, or infections, or modified live vaccines, since they have weak immune systems.
A low weight Chihuahua puppy doesn't guarantee a small sized Chihuhuaa adult
Large 13 inch long Chihuahuas can weigh 2 to 3 lbs grown. Low weight, but NOT tiny Chihuahuas.

Champion lines alone do not merit a higher price on a Chihuahua puppy. Regardless of Champion bloodlines, if Chihuahua puppies are simple pet quality then you should pay a lower pet quality price for the Chihuahua puppy.
Question any Chihuahua breeder who releases "teacups" under 12 weeks of age. Even 8 oz 8 weeks old Chihuahua puppies can be sickly and stunted and in time with the excellent care of the owner can end up growing to 6 lb+.
The longer a Chihuahua breeder wants to keep the puppies shows the breeder is not afraid of the growth spurts all puppies have from 9-12 weeks of age. Scammers peddling "teacups" ARE afraid of the growth spurt which would reveal their deception, so they want the puppy gone early. Breeders of tiny Chihuahua keep the tiny puppies until at least 11 weeks old.
The Fact is that only an educated guess on Chihuahua adult size can be given based on the size Chihuahua pup's parents and size of puppies from past litters, size of relatives as well as current age, weight and size of puppy. The older the Chihuahua puppy the more accurate the prediction. Chihuahua weight charts are an aid only and not %100 correct.
