2 year old "HEAVEN" tallest part of her back she is just under 7 inches tall. Heaven is 3.2 lbs
JAZZY is 6 1/2 inches in length from shouler blades to rump. She is 3 lbs and chubby
BUG is 6 inches long from shoulder blades to rump.The ruler is in front of the shoulder blades so the ruler is not postitoned right . It looks like 7 inches but she is a 6
2 year old MUFFET is 6 to 6 1/2 inches tall from floor to top of her back. Bug is 3.0 lbs

The proper way to measure height is by the dog's shoulder which we can see here is 5 inches. So this dog would be listed at 5 inches tall. I though prefer to measure from the floor to the top of back. She would then be 6 1 /2 inches tall from the floor to the top of her back.
I MEASURE HEIGHT TWO WAYS : FROM FLOOR TO THE SHOULDER, FROM FLOOR TO TOP OF BACK
To Elbow 3 inches
To Shoulder 5 inches
To tallest part of back 6 1/2 inches.
This photo makes it appear Muffet is 7 inches long but when she stands up and the ruler is held straight her correct length is 6 inces

He is 4 1/2 inches tall according to proper way that dogs are measured for height , but I like to meausre to top of back from the floor and so in doing this Benny is just under 7 inches from the floor to top of highest part of his back.

FACT:
It is the myth that exact adult weight can be predicted from the weight of a young puppy. Only Scammers and dishonest breeders will promise an exact adult weight. Responsible breeders will admit that an educated guess can be given based on sizes of parents, relatives, puppies from past litters and puppies current age, weight and body size , along with bone structure.
FACT: Weight doesn't predict length or height of a Chihuahua.
FACT: A SKINNY adult Chihuahua can be large. If you want a low adult weight and think low weight means "tiny" then would you be happy with a THIN 2 1/2 lb 13 inch long large Chihuahua?
AT PUPPIES- Some mothers have such rich milk that their puppies end up little butter balls and large for age. These young pups chart 5 lbs for baby fat alone at 8 weeks and at 12 months chart 3 lbs
THIN PUPPIES- Some mothers have poor milk quality no matter what you feed them. So you take a thin puppy and switch them over to a mother with fattening milk and the skinny low weight puppy gains alot of weight. So much for accurate charting of puppies in the early weeks!!
PLACENTAS-Some fetuses have small insufficient placentas and do not grow well while in uteri so they are born extra small and even weakly.These ones can catch up by 8 weeks
Some fetuses have large over sized placentas . Such puppies are huge at birth causing mom to need a c-section. The growth of these puppies slows rapidly after whelp.
Mouse made it to 2 lb by 1 year old. He is 6 inches long
Most of our 3 lb adults are 6 inches long. So 2 or 3 lbs same length
